To ensure your travel arrangements are as smooth as possible, the Government of Azerbaijan is pleased to offer a free "IsDB Special Visa" for all

registered participants attending the 2026 IsDB Group Annual Meetings. Please review the following step-by-step guide to understand your visa requirements, application options, and essential travel guidelines.


Step 1: Check if You Need a Visa

Before applying, please verify if your country is exempt from visa requirements.

  • Azerbaijan has a visa-free regime with several countries based on bilateral agreements.
  • You can check if you qualify for visa-free entry by visiting the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Visa-Free Countries list.
  • If your country is on this list, you do not need to apply for the IsDB Special Visa and can enter Azerbaijan with your valid passport.


Step 2: Register for the Annual Meetings

Your visa application is directly tied to your official event registration.

  • You must first register for the 2026 Annual Meetings via the IsDB Online Registration System.
  • Critical Step: During the registration process, you must explicitly select that you require a visa to enter Azerbaijan.
  • Upon successful registration, you will receive a confirmation email. And if you indicated that you require a visa, you will receive an email that contain a special, personalized link allowing you to apply for the IsDB Special Visa.
  • Security Note: This link is unique to your registration. It is strictly personal and cannot be shared with or used by any other person.


Step 3: Choose Your Application Method

Once you have received your registration confirmation and personalized link, you can apply for your free IsDB Special Visa using one of two methods:


Option A: Apply Online (Recommended)

  1. Click the personalized link provided in the email to access the special electronic visa portal.
  2. Fill out the online application form.
  3. Upload the required documents.
  4. Submit your application. Once approved, you will receive a confirmation email containing a link to download and print your visa.

 

Option B: Apply in Person

You may also apply through the diplomatic missions or consulates of the Republic of Azerbaijan in your country. If you choose this route, you must bring the following required documents:

  • A completed visa application form.
  • Your passport or official travel document.
  • Two (2) color biometric photographs (3x4 cm).
  • A printed copy of your IsDB registration confirmation email/letter.


Important Visa Rules & Validity

  • Please keep the following guidelines in mind while planning your trip:
  • Passport Validity: Your passport must be valid for at least three (3) months beyond the expiration date of your visa.
  • Processing Time: Visas are typically issued within three (3) working days after submitting a complete application (both online and in-person). Please apply well in advance of your travel dates.
  • Duration of Stay: The IsDB Special Visa allows for a stay of up to 30 days in Azerbaijan. You must depart the country before the visa expiration date printed on your document.
  • Single-Entry Rule: This is a single-entry visa. If you leave Azerbaijan during the Annual Meetings and need to return, you must re-apply for a new IsDB Special Visa.
