The Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Group is a multilateral development institution driven by a founding vision of solidarity and shared prosperity across its Member Countries and Muslim communities worldwide. Established in 1975 and guided by the ethical principles of Islamic finance, the IsDB Group works to improve lives by fostering inclusive growth, sustainable development, and long-term economic resilience.
Over the decades, the IsDB has evolved from a single institution into a dynamic Group of specialized entities, collectively forming an integrated development ecosystem. Through financing, partnerships, and knowledge-driven solutions, the IsDB Group advances impact across critical sectors including infrastructure, education, health, private sector development, trade, and climate resilience—ensuring its efforts remain strategic, scalable, and responsive to the evolving needs of its 57 Member Countries.
The IsDB Group Annual Meetings
The IsDB Group Annual Meetings constitute the institution’s principal statutory and strategic platform, bringing together Governors, Ministers, senior government officials, development partners, private sector leaders, academics, and civil society representatives from across Member Countries and beyond.
The Annual Meetings provide a unique forum where formal governance sessions are complemented by high-level dialogue, knowledge exchange, and partnership-building. Participants engage in discussions on key development priorities, share experiences and best practices, and explore innovative solutions to common challenges—strengthening cooperation in support of inclusive and sustainable development.
The 2026 IsDB Group Annual Meetings will be held from 16 to 19 June 2026 in Baku, Republic of Azerbaijan, at the Baku Convention Center, under the theme Regional Integration for Sustainable Prosperity. The Meetings will serve as a platform to advance dialogue and collaboration around regional connectivity, resilience, and shared growth across Member Countries.
